The Archetype/Trust CD, released in April 1992 on 21st Circuitry Records, charted on college stations around the country and was distributed both nationally and internationally. Mute Angst Envy supported this album with many headlining shows, as well as supporting touring bands such as Xymox and the Wolfgang Press. In 1995, the band took a hiatus, and in 2004, Mute Angst Envy started playing and recording again.
